This species has extremely powerful jaws and therefore, are able to make use of some foods that are unavailable for other species. Intelligent animals, they can feed upon foods that are quite hard to find. When some of the foods become scarce, they switch to something else.

These medium-sized apes have hands with opposable thumbs that give them great dexterity when they forage for food. Their prehensile tails give them support and can stand the entire weight of an adult monkey. These apes are omnivorous with a highly varied diet in the wild.
